Terms and Conditions



  • The "Hirer" is The Natural Hire Company 

  • The "Customer" is the person on the quote/invoice. 

General Terms

  • “Hire Goods” means any equipment, furniture or props which are hired to the customer.

  • Installation of items is included in the hire price. Our bars can take up to 2-3 hours to install so please allow plenty of time for this. We cannot be held responsible for delays which are out of our control, so would advise booking delivery of our larger items a day in advance of the event itself. 

  • A delivery charge will be incurred depending on the delivery location. All venues within a 10-mile radius of Totnes are free of charge, and any outside will be advised at the quote stage. 

  • It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all items delivered match the invoice. A signature will be required upon delivery/return of these goods. 

  • The customer assumes all responsibilities & liabilities once the goods have been delivered from The Natural hire company. This is the case until the goods are collected. 

  • Our hire goods are preloved and hired on a regular basis. As a result, there may be small signs of wear and tear on some of the items. Colours may also differ slightly from the photographs shown depending on your monitor or phone settings. Should you have an exact colour or look required, please speak with us directly about this to ensure its suitability before the hire stage. 

  • All items delivered should be returned in the same packaging and boxes in which they were delivered. 

  • The customer must adhere to all safety & fire regulations. It is essential to keep all items away from heat sources which could result in fire or damage. 

  • Unless agreed by The Natural Hire Company, all Hire Goods are for indoor use only. Any items used out-side are done so entirely at the customer’s risk. 

  • In the event of unavailability at the last minute, The Natural Hire Company will seek to replace the item hired with one similar. We will discuss this with the customer should the need arise. 



  • A deposit will be payable to confirm the order. We ask for 20% of the total hire cost to confirm the booking and upon receipt of this we will reserve your Hire Goods for you. The remaining balance is to be paid at least 30 days before the event. Cancellations within 30 days of booking are refundable. Cancellations after the first 30 days are non-refundable. Cancellations should be advised in writing. 

  • We must have cleared funds for the full order amount prior to delivery.


Hire Period

  • Our advertised prices are for a standard 1-4 day period commencing when the Hire Goods are signed for upon delivery by us. 

  • Longer hire periods can be discussed and are quoted for on a case-by-case basis.

Late Payments & Terms

  • Invoices are due for payment within 7 days of issue, late or non-payment will result in the order being cancelled and any part payment or deposit being forfeit by the customer to cover costs.

Loss/Damage and Insurance

  • The customer agrees that during the hire period the Hire Goods shall be kept in good repair and condition.

  • All Hire Goods to be returned clean and in good condition.

  • It is recommended that all Hire Goods should be insured by the customer from the time of delivery up to time of collection to ensure that the Hire Goods are fully covered. 

  • Any loss, breakages or damage to Hire Goods where possible will be repaired by The Natural Hire Company or a professional repair service if required. Where this is needed, we will charge on the basis of cost of restoration. 

  • The customer understands and agrees that items hired are for indoor use only except as specifically notified by The Natural Hire company. If wet or windy weather is forecast during the hire period, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all goods are moved into a safe and dry location. 

  • Please do not use candles directly on any of the Hire Goods. Glass holders, trays and safety measures should be followed if candles are to be used. 


  • The Natural Hire Company shall not be responsible for any injury or damage to person or property arising from the use of the Hire Goods.

  • The customer is responsible for the safe handling of all Hire Goods. You should not attempt to carry goods alone. Where possible, our items should not be moved once they are delivered. We request to know the location of the items upon delivery. Our bars and arches should not be moved once they have been delivered. 

  • Our arches and screens should not be used outdoors in windy conditions. Winds could cause these items to blow over and injure guests. If a customer chooses to do this, they do so at their own risk. 

Delivery and Collection by The Natural Hire Company 

  • Deliveries/collections are based on our drivers having easy access to a ground floor location only between the hours of 8am-8pm. Any requirements outside of this, will need to be quoted for separately. 

  • The customer must provide a person to meet the driver at delivery & collection, to confirm the condition of the Hire Goods and sign for the safe delivery and return.
